Single Row Deep Groove Ball Bearings: Single row deep groove ball bearings are the most commonly used bearing type, which can accommodate radial and thrust loads. These bearings can be used at high speeds. The self-aligning capacity of deep groove ball bearings is limited; therefore the bearing locations must be accurately aligned. Double Row Deep Groove Ball Bearings Double row deep groove ball bearings have, contrary to their former design, no filling slots. This is the reason that these bearings can accommodate thrust loads in both directions. These are fitted with cages of glass-fibre reinforced polyamide 66 and lubricated with grease. This ball bearing is not suitable, where angular misalignments have to be accommodated.
